MR. JONATHAN (SAM) SPRING
Sam Spring has been the President and CEO of Kincora Copper, as a TSX-V listed entity, since April 2013 having joined the Company in September 2012. During his time at Kincora, Sam has successfully led four corporate transactions including the pivot from a Mongolian to Australian asset portfolio and exploration strategy, built an industry-leading technical team and board, attracted a strong shareholder register and lead the dual listing onto the ASX.
Sam is Vice Chair of the Business Council of Mongolia’s (BCM) Resources and Environment Working Group, and a member of the International Advisory Panel (IAP) to the Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry of Mongolia. He was nominated for “Chief Executive of the Year – Exploration” award at Mines & Money London (December 2017).
Prior to Kincora, Sam was recognised as one of the leading European Metals and Mining research analysts, having won the Association of Mining Analysts (UK) Equity Mining Analyst of the Year, with multi-disciplinary financial service sector experience, including with the Goldman Sachs Group and Ocean Equities Ltd.
Sam is a CFA Charterholder and a Chartered Accountant (ICAA) and earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Melbourne.
MR. PETER LEAMAN
Peter has over 40 years’ experience in exploration mostly with BHP Minerals, with a particular focus on Base & Precious Metals, and PanAust Limited, where he was Regional Exploration Manager SE Asia and remains an Exploration Advisor.
Peter is a very hands on and target orientated front line leader who has been responsible for project generation, managing mineral exploration programs and regional offices/activities in multiple jurisdictions, resulting in multiple discoveries including the Tier 1 Reko Diq porphyry Cu/Au deposit, Crater Mountain epithermal Au/Ag and Mt. Bini (Kodu) porphyry Cu/Au deposits in Papua New Guinea, amongst others.
Peter managed the BHP Billiton office and exploration teams in Mongolia, which included the joint venture with Ivanhoe Mines (now Turquoise Hill Resources) to explore the Oyu Tolgoi belt for similar deposits, including flying the regional Falcon airborne gravity gradiometer survey, undertaking extensive Induced Polarization (IP) studies and target testing drilling.
Peter is a former Imperial College (M.Sc. mineral exploration) and Leicester University (B.Sc. Hons, geology) graduate, and is Qualified Person for the purpose of NI 43-101.
MS. YUYING LIANG
Yuying Liang is a Principal of Canmore Financial Services Inc., which provides financial reporting services and full service accounting to private and public companies in a variety of industries.
Yuying has extensive and varied experience in the public company environment holding positions including Chief Financial Officer, Company Secretary and Board member.
Ms. Liang earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University and holds the professional designation of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
DR. PAUL CROMIE
Paul is an economic geologist with over 25 years of experience in mineral exploration, resource development, project generation, project evaluation, project and regional exploration leadership/management, business development and geoscience research in Australia, Asia, Middle East, Eastern Europe, South America, Caribbean and SE Africa, with major, mid-size and junior companies.
Paul has extensive technical and exploration leadership experience in testing greenfields, brownfields, and in-mine environments, across a broad range of organisations, countries and commodities in gold, copper, zinc-lead-silver, nickel and iron ore.
Paul has Bachelor of Science (Hons) from the University of Melbourne, with a Master of Economic Geology and PhD of geology from the University of Tasmania, and is Qualified Person for the purpose of NI 43-101 and a Competent Person for the purpose of JORC compliance.
MR. SAM MCRAE
Sam is an experienced program and project manager with exposure to mining, engineering, construction, and telecommunications sectors across all phases of a project lifecycle. Sam has a rounded skill set including finance, commerce, engineering and project management and pragmatic problem fixer approach.
Sam has a Bachelors of Engineering and Business from the Queensland University of Technology.
MR. MOLOR ERDENEBAT
Molor has over 10 years of base metal exploration and mining experience including roles with Trafigura, Erdene Resource Development and Solomon Resources, in Mongolia and Africa.
Molor earned his Applied Earth Science qualification at Tokyo Institute of Technology and holds a Master of Science degree at Mongolian University of Science and Technology.
Molor joined Kincora in 2014 being involved in the drilling and trenching activities season, and has lead field season activities of the Company since.
